Sometimes you want to create a website for free - it might be that you simply don’t have any budget yet, or you don’t need anything fancy right now and you just want to get something up and running.
The good news is that Google offer a service called Google Sites which is completely for free - however, it does have some limitations. You will need a Google account and it doesn’t have all the features that some other Premium platforms offer.
It also doesn’t let you optimise for Search Engines, or connect anything like Facebook Pixel or Google Ads. But does let you connect Google Analytics, and I have a workaround for some extra basic functions you may need.
Connecting your site to a domain name
Google sites will provide you with a temporary address, which in this tutorials case was ‘https://sites.google.com/view/website-bear/’ but you can also connect it to a domain you’ve purchased.
